New Pictures of the Boys

Early this week the boys had school pictures made and this is them that morning. They are GROWING so fast and lookin' good everyday.

Here are some pictures of Cody reading a book to Hunter about a Spider. We are so proud of Cody and his reading, it has been hard for him to read for many years and he is doing wonderful in his efforts to try to catch up. This book is a 3.4 reading level. That means a child should be able to read it half way though there 3rd grade year. Cody is in 4Th grade, so you can understand why we are so proud of him. He's catching up. While I'm bragging, Hunter did great just by sitting next to Cody and listened to the whole story. Hunter is always go.. go.. go.. so for him to sit there that long is a great accomplishment as well.

Back To School

Cody has already had a major grade put in the record book this new school year. It was a presentation about himself and his 5 Senses. Proud to say he passed with fling colors. A 100 was his grade. He found pictures of the different senses- touch, smell, see, hear, taste. He then had props to go with each. Smell was Dads body spray which he loves to put on every morning. Touch- was how his hair felt spiked with gel. See- was a his flashlight that he uses in the dark. Hear- was his music. Taste- was a pickle. He saved that one for last so he could take a bite of it and then say THE END!!

Boy Scout Awards

Last night Cody got his awards from scouts and from summer camp. He was great and looks cool too. He was so excited to get them. Wyatt and Granny & Pappy where there as well. That makes award ceremonies that much now rewarding.

Twilight- A Vampire Prom

So Kami and I went to Hastings book store on Aug. 2. We went to the party for Breaking Dawn- 4Th book in the Twilight Saga, by Stephanie Meyer. They had it set up as a prom. We were there from 10-12am. Any who... these are some pictures of us there.

Scout Camp Pictures- Part 2

The fire department came and showed the boys the fire rescue boat.

The boys did a super job on knot tying and walking the monkey bridge. That was Hunter's Favorite thing to do everyday that we were there.


Cody and his group did the morning raising of the Flag! Cody loves to fold the flag and he makes sure it doesn't touch the ground!
Cody made a sailboat for the boat races, and he got a first place ribbion. He then let Hunter use his sailboat, which also won a first place ribbion for Hunter.


And... at the end of the day, this is what you would see as we drove home! The boys had a great time and loved every min. of camp.

Scout Camp Pictures- part 1

Last week was Cub Scout Camp for Hunter and Cody. It was at the Lighthouse Beach, "a man made beach" in Port Lavaca. So here are some cool pictures for you to ENJOY!


In this picture the boys are learning to bait there hook and cast it out in the water safely.

Cody Kissed his fish before he let it go back in the ocean. "It a sign of good luck!" The boys did great in everything they tried. Hal and I are VERY PROUD of them both.

Friday the 13th....not so scary!!

Well today was pretty good, we just hung around the house this morning, playing games, Lego's, and sonic heroes game on the game cube. that game goes so fast, Cody and Hunter don't miss a thing. As for me, I will have a headache in 20min. Then at 3:30 we went to see the Hulk movie. My brother Chad and his son Wyatt went with us and we all had a blast. The movie was totally cool. A must see for the superheroes in your family. Today is the last day of youth conference here in Victoria, and I got to help a little and got to see Kami with all her church friends in action. So that was great fun. Things are good with the boys and Hal and I. Hunter starts summer school on Monday. So we hope that goes well, he is enjoying getting to ride the bus again. We hope you all are doing great.
