Another new up-date

We made it to Ga. almost 2weeks ago and are loving it!! I will post some new pictures soon of the boys and their first day of school. Cody is on his first camp out here with the boy scouts and Hal. Sooo... I'm going to wait til they get back and post pictures them. I'm hoping Hal will get some good pictures of him on their camping adventure! Cross your fingers!!

Newest Up-Date

First I want to say "SORRY" to friends and family for not updating my blog in along while. SORRY!!
In other news to tell "We are moving to Ga. at the end of July" We are very excited about this new change in our lives. We will be a lot closer to Hal's family and that is a A++ in our book! I will have a hard time leaving love ones in my family but I know this is for the best for my boys with a new school that is 4Th in the nation as a 1A school and a church family with more kids and lots of people our age as well. There are lots of cousins that we miss dearly on the Shields family that we will get to know better. yeah! For my side of the family I will keep in touch and be updating this blog after we move. I love you all!!!

National Autism Awareness Month

National Autism Awareness Month is in APRIL!!

I am asking that my friends and family have the members of their family dress in blue on this Thursday or Friday to help Hunter and I celebrate Autism Month. A blue tie or shirt or even a blue ribbon in there hair. Be creative!! It can be the whole family, just the kids or just one person. up blue to commemorate World Autism Awareness Day on Friday.

Taylor Monney- The Eagle Scout

Taylor made "Cool Ties" for the National Guard to be used by soldiers in the Middle East. Cool ties are tubes of fabric with 1 tsp. of polymer pellets in each one. When the tie is soaked in water the pellets expand to fill the fabric tube and they stay damp and cool for many hours and can be recharged by putting in water for 1 minute. They will dehydrate after a week to their original flat size for storage. It is the coolest thing.

Anyway, we did LOTS of preliminary work as a family to be prepared for project day. On project day in September Taylor had 35 volunteers give 78 hours of service. It was AWESOME! With so many young men in our ward everyone is so willing to help.

Tyson presented Taylor with his Eagle at the Court of Honor. Trevor, Tanner and the younger brothers of the other 2 Eagle candidates did the flag ceremony. Troy conducted. It was a great evening. It is a blessing to continue the legacy of Scouting that Pappy began! What a great Monney tradition!

Blue and Gold

We had our Blue and Gold party for Scouts tonight. Hunter got his Bobcat and Cody got to walk across the little bridge that is a symbol that he is going from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts Yeah! Cody is already excited about Boy Scout because there is a camp out coming up and they get to go to a rock climbing place in Austin soon. Here are a few pictures. - Enjoy!

I'm back!!

Well as you will soon find out "I'm back to blogging" I have just added a ton to my blog, trying to get updated a little. I have had some comments said to me like- Welcome back, Thanks for updating, or I've been having "Every Life has a Story!" withdrawls. Thanks to everyone for being there for me and Sorry it has been so long. So sit back and take a DEEP Breath because you have got some catching up to read. My newest blog titles are from "Morgan and Afton" to the blog about "Tanner Monney and his 3rd grad class helping Haiti" there is a lot in between so I hope you get to read them all. Morgan and Afton

Here is a fun picture of Morgan in the "John Wayne" room. Also in this room is a picture of my Dad "Pappy" and we always thought that my Dad and John Wayne could be just like each other. So here is Morgan posing just like the John Wayne picture on the wall. He also has one of the belt buckles on that my Dad made. It is now one of my Moms favorite picture of Morgan! Enjoy



This is a picture (below) of Afton and Nathan that was taken at Morgans Baptism. I had promised Afton that I would put it on my blog. Sorry Afton, that it took me so long! Nathan is a favorite of all the cousins. For some reason the kids love to hang on him and want him to wrestle with them and the list goes on and on. Thanks for being so fun Nathan!
